Julia & Lyande - Jewel Clothing
Now this is a brand to watch out for, established in 2007 Jewel Clothing has evolved into a product machine focused on creating garments suitable for customer needs. Their one off garments are trendy, innovative and client focused. Each dress is personalised for the client so believe me if you are wearing one of Julia & Lyande’s pieces, no women in that party will have what you have on so you can feel free to make it a profile pic on Facebook.
An added bonus are the goregous girls modelling the garments, take a look at the collection http://www.jewelclothing.co.uk/collection.html

Having had the pleasure to attend the launch event of the new website recently it is of great pleasure to introduce Andre Campbell’s Enfuse Youth. It was an inspirational launch and I truly experienced firsthand why Enfuse Youth will blossom and grow throughout the coming year.
The company’s goal is to make young people enthusiastic about their futures and aspire to acheive their dreams through workshops, competitions, networking events and mentoring.

ALEX GRIFFIN - Bouf.com & Joolia.com
Bouf.com is born from the brain child Alex Griffin who recognised whilst walking through Spitafields market in East London that thousands of designer makers making distinctive brands were being squeezed out by our high street retailers.
Alex established Bouf to connect consumers directly with suppliers of unique products, making it easy to buy products that really stand out. More recently has launched a sister site for jewellery and accessories called www.joolia.com as well!

Its UpShot!
What started as a clothing label has blossomed into that and so much more with the company delving into entertainment, promotions, graphic designing and community projects. The company have recently created buzz with their video productions, more recently their collaboration with comedian Babatunde for “The Babatunde Show”, a sketch show for youtube viewers.
The talented graphic designers, actors and creative directors are destined for success and with the 2010 Clothing line being prepared they are a sure hit in my books, lets support them and make things happen! www.itsupshot.com

Tom Mursell - Not Going University
You read correctly the website is “Not going To university,” and funny enough contains inspiring stories from our unsung heroes, who are those who did not go to university but are finding success through their chosen pathways.
The site gives young people a wider perspective on career option other than the traditional academia routes. Notgoingtouni.co.uk shows the other side and can be described as the ‘non-graduate UCAS.’ The site was founded by Tom Mursell who is also an Enterprise UK ambassador.

Rajeeb Dey - Enternship
Raise a glass to Rajeeb Dey because this was a very much needed site for years and came in at the perfect time dare I say it during the Credit Crunch whereby experience is valued so much more and people are looking across the board for jobs.
Enternships does what it says on the tin! Provides internships with Entrepreneurs, some clever wordplay and an attractive site run by a genuinely nice guy and voila you get www.Enternships.com . It is currently a Beta so feel free to check it out and give them feedback.

Samuel Kasunmu and Arnold Safo - Elevation Networks
Hands down time and time again whether it was talking to a friend or at a workshop, conference or seminar I kept hearing people being referred from Elevation Networks. You may be aware of the founders Arnold and Sam Kasumu (on 2008 Powerlist) who have harnessed and truly impacted young people’s perspective on the use of networking.
Young people are not only meeting new people at Elevation events but also following up with who they are meeting leading to new opportunities, events, mentors and jobs for many. As Arnold often quotes: “Know who, Know How” and Sam compliments this as he says: “By getting involved with this organisations people can access a rich talent pool.”
I am always enthusiastic into events that they hold as spaces go fast, so make sure you sign up, follow them on twitter and check out their website http://www.elevationnetworks.co.uk/
Do they pass our Test of Youth, are they on Twitter? No…but you can join the facebook group “Elevation Networks”

Jessica Huie - Colorblind Cards
Colorblind worked with acclaimed photographer to the Queen Nina Duncan www.paparella.co.uk to create a range focused on highlighting the beauty of people of Caribbean, African, Asian and mixed race descent. The idea is simple but extremely effective.
“Using Jessica’s seven year old daughter Monet and five year old niece Indianna as the business duo’s first models, Colorblind Cards was born, and with it not just a vital addition to the card industry but an important statement made to children globally about self love, with the ethos that beauty lies in our individuality, intrinsic to the brand’s core.”
