The Tiger Woods Blueprint: Women Can Wear The Trousers Too
Posted on 11. Dec, 2009 by Broadband in Life and Style, Men & Women
The Tiger Woods saga continues to develop out of control as each and every day new elements and stories are unravelled in what seems to be one of the most intriguing and consequently saddest stories of the year. From the reported car crash that led to Tiger’s fading consciousness to the sad news of his mother-in-law being taken to hospital from the family home there seems to be no getting away from the headlines.
Yet in this story stems an alarming amount of questions concerning relationships between Men & Women. For The Next 4 days Pbleepd will skim over 4 questions/titles derived from the Tiger Woods Story.
“Tiger’s SUV hit a fire hydrant and a tree; Tiger’s lips were cut and he had blood in his mouth; hmm strange injury for a crash. Rumours suggest Elin whooped his ass”
I cant lie to you readers, the thought of a man getting his ass kicked, being bullied or having his masculinity compromised continuously by his girlfriend/wife in a relationship is something that brings a smile to my face or outburst of laughter. It’s not that I’m ignorant enough to think it’s an impossible scenario (I’ve seen it happen many a time) but tradition and mass observation usually revolves around the alpha male being perceived as the one in control.
Believe what you may but relationships are rarely 50/50, that’s more of an ideal than a reality. The equilibrium is interrupted for a major change to take place whether it ends in progression or retreatment. Speaking to a friend recently she spoke of a “balance of percentages” which measures the “control” in a relationship from 50/50 (The Ideal) to 80/20 (Being a 20 means you are basically the person’s b****)
Usually you find that the most common relationships delve around the regions of 55%/45% OR 60%/40% in the man’s favour. It’s a position that helps feed the egos and ethos of the male being whilst staying close enough for the females to take control on occasion.
HOWEVER it seems that the balance of percentage has increased in the woman’s favour especially in recent years.
More and more relationships are being dictated on a number of occasions by the decisions of the girlfriend/wife. This stems from their ability to tap into the physical and mental habits of the man and situations between the two and use it as a mechanism for logical thinking and action. (Read Broadband’s Women Bend, Men Break article).
They can range from subtle control with manipulation of sexual scenarios (“None for you tonight”) to firm control with abrupt emotion or aggression. Some of the male readers may hiss and boo at it but the signs are there:
When you’re out and you have to call her multiple times during the night to let her know where you are and what you’re up to…she’s wearing the pants. When she sets more rules than a game of Kings…she’s wearing the pants. When she starts making plans without your consent…she’s wearing the pants. When she gives you “the look” and you crumble…she’s wearing the pants. I could go on for a long time
“’What does a woman want?” – Men
A woman wants what she can get. Nirpal Dhaliwal of The Times writes “In her determined climb up the ladder, the alpha female has no time for men with minds of their own. Husbands and boyfriends are merely support staff, assisting her career by providing constant reassurance and an emollient, stress-free domestic life.” Dayum!!
Those words reign harsh and subsequently far-fetched in my view but it does represent the idea that a trouser wearing woman has somehow decreased the masculinity in her man (omega male) by being in control. Whipped would be too strong a word seeing as it’s not necessarily a bad thing that the woman’s in control. Instead I’ll refer to it as the man being habitably aware.
Nevertheless we must concede and occasionally embrace The 21st Century spawn of a new generation of female trouser owners.
