Throwback Article: Good Guy, Bad Guy

Throwback Article: Good Guy, Bad Guy

There are a lot of guys these days who are playing the ‘‘good guy’’ when it comes to the girls and to be frank, I’m absolutely disgusted by it! I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, respect and pride play big roles in all relationships between men and women. Playing the good guy is a sure way to losing both of these things and I’ll explain how but before that, let’s just establish what the good guy is.

The good guy is not necessarily a sweet boy. He is a guy who is too nice, too friendly and most importantly he is too accommodating. When I speak of the ‘‘bad guy’’, I do not mean a guy who is a horrible person or a thug. The bad guy is just not the good guy. He can be like the good guy in certain ways and different in others but what really distinguishes the bad guy from the good guy is that the bad guy has pride and is not so accommodating that he has lost his God – given gift of free will.

Now the problem with good guys is that they fail to distinguish between which girls are their friends, which girls are their links and which girl is their wifey. For those who are too stupid to recognise the difference, a girl who you’re primary concern is to lash or to engage in bg1some other sexual activity is your link. A girl who you can talk to as you would with your boys (no matter how ugly she is) and is not reliant on any physical activity between the two of you is your friend. If you are too ignorant to realise who your wifey is then you shall remain stupid because I’m not even going to bother explaining that one.

Now my advice to guys is to keep your links as links, your friends as friends and your wifey should have no comparator. One of the major mistakes that good guys make is that they confuse their links with their friends. Once a link is established in your mind as a link (and is therefore not wifey material) she should be treated as such. However a typical good guy often makes the mistake of talking to the link as though she were a friend. This act of being too nice and too friendly to the girl often ends up in one of two ways and in unfortunate circumstances can end up in both.

The first result that such bad behaviour can promote is that the girl will seemingly forget the circumstances and purpose for which she was even chirpsed. This often leads to the famous line, ‘‘your so sweet, your like a brother to me’’. When this happens, my advice to you is to call it a day and slap yourself in the face! The other circumstance that can occur is that because your relationship with your link has become so friendly, she’ll actually start calling you to tell you irrelevant stuff like problems in her family.

Worst of all, what can happen is that, this girl who you are being so nice to so you can lash, can actually have the audacity to call you up and picnik-collagecomplain or ask your advice about another guy! Again, when this happens, call it a day and slap your face. You know when you have crossed the line between link and friend when the supposed link feels comfortable in asking you to back them in beef or to borrow money from you….outrageous!!

There are several scenarios where girls play upon the nature of a good guy to their advantage. The most common one is a first date to the cinema. This is a petty yet important occasion because the actions of both the girl and the guy here speak volumes for how the rest of the relationship will be. Now if you called the girl and asked to take her to the cinema then by all means paying for the tickets and popcorn is fine after all, if you’re taking the girl out then you are trying to impress her on some level.

The issue of who pays for what arises when the girl indicates that she would like to go on a date to the cinema. Now girls will be saying ‘oh Gerald you’re so cheap. Pay for both tickets its only £10 - £20’. Good guys who are agreeing with them, I tell you, ‘Shut the hell up you sucker for love and a pretty face!’ When a girl asks you to go to the cinema, she never tells the full story. She asked you to go but you don’t ever find out that you will be paying for her until the guy at the desk tells you, ‘that will be £15.95’. All of a sudden she’s looking at you fluttering her eye lids and telling you she doesn’t get paid till the end of the month.

bg3Then you being the good guy do not feel like turning back and going home so you dig deep and pay. But, good guys, lets just imagine that the girl did tell you the full story. Let’s imagine that she said, ‘Hi baby how are you? Let’s go to the cinema but I don’t have any money so you will pay for my ticket, my popcorn, my drink and perhaps some sweets if I feel like it when I get there.’ Now tell me, would you still go after she said something like this to you? If you would, you’re not a ‘‘good guy’’ you’re just a mug!

The point I am trying to make here guys is that as a good guy you will come across several girls who will not give you the respect that you should feel you deserve. Some guys may be willing to jump through hoops or sacrifice their pride for the end goal but I myself just can’t do that. In my opinion, as a man you must have pride (that’s not to say you should be arrogant) and so you must play the bad guy who knows when to act as a good guy.

By all means treat your women/woman with respect (if she respects herself) just don’t mug yourself off doing it or become undermined. You cannot (and I stress this) play the good guy and occasionally play the bad guy. This just does not work! It’s like a sweet boy trying to play gangster…who can take it seriously?!

This is article pretty much sums up what 21st century males are lacking, a bit more pride and the ability to know when you’re being taken for a mug. Peter Andre in my opinion would be a perect example. Good article G…
